Glazed Pork Ribs – Homemade Asian-Inspired Sauce

I had made delicious ginger-hoisin glazed ribs based on the article in the April 2009 Real Simple Magazine and loved them!  But, when I went to the store to buy more baby-back ribs nary a one was found.  I ended up with 4.5 pounds of pork spareribs and a craving.  I also forgot to buy ginger and hoisin sauce to make matters worse.   What was a hungry girl to do?  A bit of improvising later and the result was finger licking good and yielded a ridiculous amount of meat!
